The Roys served in the Dominican Republic from 2016 to 2021. During that time, Jeremie led the revitalization of a Bible institute into a Bible college, alongside Dominican nationals. They left the Dominican on very good terms with the nationals and their mission co-workers, leaving because of a medical situation that cannot be adequately treated in the Dominican.
They are going to Spain to work in church planting and theological instruction. They are convinced this is God’s will for their lives, and that in God’s providence, with their existing relationships and acquired language, they may serve God in His Great Commission for the remainder of their missionary careers in Spain.
